• Put Your Puzzles on the Web - You may run your puzzle on your computer, but the biggest advantage of our Sliding Tiles Puzzle is when you share your puzzles with others by putting them on the web.
• Puzzle Sets - You can have any number of puzzles made available at one time. See the Sliding Tiles Sample Puzzles page for a sample set of several puzzles.
• Photo Information - Since users can only see this when they solve the puzzle, this provides a second reason for them to want to solve the puzzle. Photo information is a great way to share information about your favorite photos, educate visitors on a subject, advertise something for your company, or simply add some fun to your photo.
• Hint - The user can click the hint button if they get stuck. It won't solve the puzzle for them, but will let them see what the finished photo is supposed to look like.
• Rotate - Was your photo taken with the camera held sideways? No problem! It is easy to rotate your photo before it goes into the puzzle.
• Crop - You can use the crop feature to zoom in on an object in your photo. The higher the resolution your photo is, the more you can zoom in. Plus the program lets you know if you are zooming in so far that it might affect image quality.
• Background Color - Not many photos are perfectly square, and you don't always want to crop off the sides to make it square. Instead, with this program you can fill in the shorter dimension with your choice of a background color to make it square without needing to crop off any of your photo.
• Clean Up - A Clean up tool is provided so you know exactly which files are needed for your web page and can keep your web space usage to a minimum.
• Doesn't Take Much Web Space - It only requires 50KB of web space for the program and only 10-20KB for each additional photo you put in your puzzle. See System Requirements below.
• Easy to Put Puzzles into Existing Web Pages - By copying the files to your web space and inserting only a few lines of code into your web page, you can add the puzzle to your existing web page. Updating is even easier. To update, you only need to replace the files - no page changes are necessary!

System Requirements

Minimum System Requirements:

• Windows 95, 98, 2000, 2003, XP, Me, NT 4.0.
• Java Runtime Environment JRE 1.4.0 or later.
• Pentium 166 MHz or higher
• 60 MB of disk space if you also need to install the JRE, otherwise only 20MB are required for the Sliding Tiles Puzzle itself.
• A way to transfer your web page information to your web server, whether it is an FTP program or other utility provided by your web service provider.
• An HTML editor if you want to design your own page for the puzzle.

Web space:

• 50KB web space available, plus an additional 10-20KB for each additional photo you put in your puzzle set.
• The web server must allow serving Java applets.

The browsers that will be used to access your puzzle must have the following:

• Must have Javascript turned on.
• Must have Java version 1.1 or higher.
