Version 1.2.3 is now available for download. If you are running an earlier version, please download the free update. Note, in order to be compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7, the web files will be moved to a new location.

• If you are using Windows XP, the web files can be found in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Godtland Software\Word Search Puzzle\web.
• If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, the web file can be found in c:\ProgramData\Godtland Software\Word Search Puzzle\web.

Check Your Current Version

Click Help / About on your Word Search Puzzle Designer, or the More Information button at the top of your puzzle to see what version of the Word Search Puzzle you are currently using.

Updates/Problems fixed from Version 1.2.2 to Version 1.2.3

This update fixes the following problems:

1. Updated program file locations so the program is now compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7. Note, to resolve compatibility issues, the web files have been moved to a new location in Word Search Puzzle version 1.2.3.

This update fixes the following problems:

1. Was unable to read the new puzzle files after they were saved.

Updates/Problems fixed from Version 1.2 to Version 1.2.1

This update adds the following features, and fixes the following problems:

1. No longer crosses off words as they are found when using the option of "Do not display word list".
2. Now correctly displays ownership button when the puzzle is still unregistered.
3. Now correctly displays puzzle name on the about pages.

Updates/Problems fixed from Version 1.1 to Version 1.2

This update adds the following features, and fixes the following problems:

1. Reduced the amount of spaced used by the puzzle on a web page by:
   1. Reducing the size of the registered owner button
   2. Replaced the direction settings text with images with mouse-over help text
   3. Replaced the instructional text with a mouse help image that has mouse-over help text
2. Added an option to display another web page when a puzzle is solved.
3. Added an option to not display the word list.
4. Added an option to not display the words that didn't fit.
5. Fixed the puzzle editor so it does not scramble the puzzle if the only change was to the secret message.
6. Changed it so that if there is only one puzzle in the puzzle set, it displays that name above the puzzle instead of showing a pull down list at the bottom of the puzzle.

Updates/Problems fixed from Version 1.0 to Version 1.1

This update adds the followiing feature:

• It will now allow you to choose any color for the Registered Owner button at the top of the puzzle.

Update Information

File Size: 14.9 MB.

Will I lose any of my puzzle information when I do the update? No, the update will only update the executable files and copy your files with your registration key and personal settings. All your saved puzzles will remain intact in the locations where you had saved them before the update.

Install the Updates

To install the updates do the following:

1. Download the Update File. If you are given an option to Run or Save the program, select the option to save it. The file it downloads will be called WordSearchPuzzleUpdate1.2.3.exe. Make a note of where it is downloading this file on your computer.
2. Double click the WordSearchPuzzleUpdate1.2.3.exe file that was downloaded to start up the install.
3. During the install when it asks you for the Destination Location, be sure to install the update to the same directory where you installed the previous version of the Word Search Puzzle.
4. After the install is complete, start the Word Search Puzzle Setup as if to edit your puzzle set. Save the puzzle even if you did not make any changes. This will correctly update the javascript file for you.
5. You should now copy all the files from the web directory to your website. Your update is now complete.
