Windows Protected Your PC Warning

Microsoft often displays a Windows protected your PC warning if you try to run an executable file you downloaded from the internet. I couldn't justify paying hundreds of dollars to prevent Microsoft from showing this warning message for these programs.

If you get this warning, click More Info and Run Anyway. If you want more reassurance that it should be safe to install these games, run your own virus scan on the setup file before you install the game:

1. In File Explorer, right click on the setup file.
2. Choose Scan with (in Windows 11, choose Show More Options and then Scan with).
